Facility Master Planning
Trinity Health Group knows the business of healthcare.
We know that there are many challenges facing a healthcare facility today and how critical it is for institutions to maximize the value of every dollar spent. Capital resources are limited as never before, hospitals are operating on extremely thin margins, they have to make do with far less while increasing quality – and to top it all off, 30-40 million more people are planned to be incorporated into the system.
In the meantime, there are three main issues that continue to dramatically affect the industry:
An Aging Population: An aging population, along with increasing life expectancies, is resulting in significant increases in service demand as well as higher acuity patients.
New Technologies: Infusion of new technologies in diagnostics, information and communication systems is shifting treatment protocols and venues.
Consumerism: Shifts in patient and family expectations towards comfort, choice and privacy.
The past three years of economic and credit limitations have resulted in decreased facility development activity. However, facilities need to grow and modernize to accommodate increased demand and replace aging infrastructure.
Trinity develops planning strategies with the future in mind by employing a business model approach to planning, rather than facility-centric master planning. We focus on the market, operational and economic factors that impact a hospital's ability to generate revenue and reduce costs. Once this strategy is in place, facility tactics can be determined to respond in a way that is best for the hospital's overall economic health.
